Akkari

Dentist near Akkari, Rabat

With its bustling souk and Moulay Youssef hospital, Akkari is a lively working-class neighbourhood and one of the closest to Agdal. German Dental Clinic has no practice in Akkari, but the journey to Agdal is short, whether by petit taxi or on foot for keen walkers.

Being close matters most when a tooth hurts. Pain that wakes you at night, a swollen cheek, a broken tooth: these are situations where you want to be seen quickly. Call as soon as we open; the clinic does its best to find a slot the same day or the next, depending on the schedule. The dental emergency page explains what to do in the meantime.

When a tooth cannot be saved, the extraction is carried out under local anaesthetic, with written instructions for the following days. Replacing the tooth, with a bridge or an implant, is then discussed calmly once the area has healed.

Getting to the clinic from Akkari

  • By petit taxi: the most direct option. The route heads down towards the Rabat-Agdal station area (avenue Hassan II), then crosses Agdal to avenue de France. Ask for "Clinique Agdal, avenue Ibn Sina": German Dental Clinic is right next door.
  • On foot: allow for a fairly long walk via Rabat-Agdal station, then head south-west to the corner of avenue de France and avenue Ibn Sina.
  • Tram: line 2 serves Akkari (stops "Hôpital Moulay Youssef" and "Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdellah"), but getting to Agdal means a detour through the centre and a change at Place Al Joulane; a taxi is usually simpler.

Frequently asked questions

I have severe toothache: can you see me today?

Call +212 5 37 67 43 48 or send a WhatsApp message to +212 6 10 34 37 27 as soon as possible: we will look for a slot in the day's schedule. If the pain comes with fever, significant swelling or difficulty swallowing or breathing, go to a hospital emergency department without delay.

What should I do after an extraction?

Bite on the gauze for the time indicated, avoid spitting, smoking and hot drinks on the first day, and do not rinse vigorously. The dentist gives you instructions tailored to your case and tells you when you can return to a normal diet.

Does an extracted tooth need replacing?

Over time, a missing tooth can allow the neighbouring teeth to shift and make chewing harder. Replacement is not necessary in every case, but it is worth discussing: an implant, a bridge or a removable denture, depending on the situation.
