Oral surgery covers procedures that involve the bone and soft tissues of the mouth: removing a tooth too damaged to be saved, taking out an impacted or poorly positioned wisdom tooth, or retrieving a fractured root. These are routine procedures, yet how well they are carried out shapes what comes next, in particular whether an implant can be placed later.
Dr Fenjero Walid has trained with European leaders in oral surgery. In day-to-day practice this comes down to a simple principle: remove what has to go while sparing as much bone and gum as possible. Before any procedure, an X-ray shows where the roots lie and how close they are to nerves and sinuses, so the most suitable approach can be planned.
In this section:
- tooth extraction, simple or surgical, with socket preservation when a replacement is being considered;
- wisdom tooth removal for teeth that are impacted, partly erupted or causing repeated infections.
Procedures are carried out under local anaesthesia at the practice in Agdal, Rabat. If you have acute pain, swelling or an abscess, see the dental emergency page to find out how to reach us quickly.
