Equipment is never an end in itself: it is there to see more clearly, plan more precisely and make treatment more comfortable. Dr Fenjero Walid's practice in Agdal uses several digital tools that link up from diagnosis all the way to the final restoration.
- Digital radiography and the panoramic X-ray give an overview of the teeth, roots, sinuses and joints, with the image on screen within moments.
- The intraoral scanner replaces impression paste in many cases with a camera that records your teeth in 3D.
- The CAD/CAM milling unit makes it possible to design and produce certain restorations on site, such as crowns, inlays and onlays.
- Guided surgery helps plan the position of an implant on a computer, then reproduce it in the mouth using a custom-made guide. It is described on the dental implant page.
These tools replace neither the clinical examination nor the dentist's judgement. They cut out certain steps, make explanations more concrete (you see your teeth on screen) and make follow-up easier from one appointment to the next. Whether each examination is needed is decided case by case during your consultation.
